- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup all vegetable shortening
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons soymilk
- Food coloring(s) of choice
Directions
- Begin by softening your margarine. Try not to melt it changes the consistency of frosting. Combine the shortening and margarine in a large bowl with a hand held mixer. Add in your vanilla and then sift in your powdered sugar cup by cup. Make sure to mix well after the addition of each cup. Add soymilk or another vegan milk alternative to reach desired consistency. Remember that a little soymilk goes a long way!
