Straight from the Tree Maple Cream
Time for some super duper sweet frosting! This frosting pairs wonderfully with Maple Pecan Cupcakes.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup all vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup Earth Balance Margarine
- 2 tbsp of maple syrup
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- Optional: 1/2 cup crushed pecans to top
Directions
- Soften the margarine and then using a handheld mixer creme it together with the shortening and your maple syrup. Cup by cup, add in your powdered sugar and mix with your handheld mixer. At this point you may need to add in just a little bit more maple syrup to reach your desired consistency. If you want to lower the sugar content just add a touch of plain soymilk or water. Remember, a little liquid goes a long way! Pipe this on your cupcakes with your favorite tip and top with some crushed pecans.
